Please be informed that the City will be having Bartlett Tree Experts remove 11 Corkscrew Willows that line the north end of Lloyd Minor Park. The work is expected to take place Friday February 21st and Saturday the 22nd.
The trees have been assessed by the City Arborist and it has been determined that they are dangerous trees that create a clear public safety hazard. They present a foreseeable danger of personal injury or property damage. Several of the trees have already lost large limbs.
The trees will be cut down and the wood stacked next to the stumps. The cut limbs will be chipped up later when the soil is dry and the arborist can access the park with heavy equipment. New trees will be planted in the Fall this year, in order to allow them to root and establish over next Winter.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City Manager, John Leuthauser at 503.639.6919 or manager@cityofrivergrove.com.
